2008 Harlaxton OPTIONS for High School Girls

OPTIONS is a weekend-long, residential camp for high school girls who currently are freshman, sophomores or juniors (or the home schooled equivalent) with good math and science skills who have completed geometry by the start of camp. The purpose of this camp is to encourage young women to consider the vast career options made possible with a degree in engineering or computer science.

Beginning the summer of 2007, OPTIONS for High School Girls piloted a two-stage program. One week of the program was held on the Evansville campus last June and the second week will be held at Harlaxton, the British campus of the University of Evansville, in Grantham, England in the summer of 2008. Those attending last year's state-side program will be assigned first priority in this year's overseas program. Remaining available spots will be filled with applicants new to the program. Those new applicants will participate in the program at Harlaxton in the summer of 2008 and will participate in the state side program on the University of Evansville campus in the summer of 2009.
